Don’t install flashblock and noscript at the same, I had problems with them conflicting until I uninstalled flashblock.

While you’re at it, you can disable even more annoyances by installing the Flashblock plugin for Firefox.

basically you eat a cookie at snap.com, but the cookie does not stick around forever. Also, I regularly upchuck my cookies anyway.

2. optional but recommended: get Adblock Filterset.G Updater
3 add this line to your advertisement filters:

Thanks for bringing this up. I just disabled Snap in the WordPress settings on my blog. It had annoyed me, but not to the point where I cared enough to do something about it.

Adblock Plus and NoScript for the win!

Whenever I browse on a machine that’s not mine, I’m stupefied by the sheer amount of ads and garbage like this I see. It’s actually a remarkable occurrence for me to actually see online advertising anymore.

You know, I have to chuckle a bit whenever I come across some item about how annoying yet another chunk of web glitter is. That’s why I do 95% of my browsing with JavaScript turned off. There’s an occassional downside, when I encounter a site that relies on JavaScript to do something that’d work just fine with plain old HTML, but it’s pretty rare that whatever that is is important enough to me to reload the page in my script-enabled environment.

Take a look at Q3 in their FAQ. It gives a link that sets a cookie that disables snapshots. I'm glad you asked this question, though, as it finally motivated me to look for a solution. I hate Snap, but just haven't arsed myself to see if it could be disabled until now.
