I have to admit, getting that from Chicago-area media isn't unexpected. Considering it's a Springfield event, and not knowing what follow-up was done with which reporters (did someone reach out to the capitol bureaus?), I would consider it reasonable to run an AP blurb. Again, I don't know what the full media strategy, but given the market, I would be complaining unless there's much more that was done or promised in terms of coverage that didn't pan out.

From a strategic point of view, I'd be more interested in what coverage they got in non-Chicago papers. Again, that should be in the context of outreach and follow-up efforts and their targets.
