When I lived in Brooklyn, Spitzer’s AAG that specialized in going after funny money schemes lived across the hall from us. Nice guy, but had this dead eye look when he started talking about work. These guys are perfectly cynical. We had a beers a couple of times at the corner bar and I chided him about the “trial in the press” tactic. He said that going to jail was not enough of a warning to Wall Street frauds. You have to destroy them personally to make it stick. After that I was honestly afraid of him. Normally, I would be inclined to like a crusader type like Spitzer but that guy could give two shits about Grandma’s pension. Two shits. He thought he was on the fast track to President.

Trouble is: He wasn’t with them for an hour.

I am really enjoying the fact that he was using structuring to hide the transactions. He is going to jail on that one. The Feds hate that sort of shit.
