We eventually learned that inviting one or two girls to play worked well as a pickup method. The girls would get bored immediately and would leave with the inviter - "to go do something more fun" like take a moonlit walk around the campus gardens. While D&D overall inhibited my social life, being able to recite reams of Monty Python dialog actually got me laid. Go figure.... Spent many many weekend nights playing this with my roomies when I should have been out chasing girls….

I kept trying to "roll for Wookiee", so they dropped me, I guess. I ended up playing Ultima Online, though. It was kind of like Dungeons & Dragons, but with far more retarded players.
