Hawai’i is becoming quite the Socialist paradise, isn’t it? Perhaps being over 2,000 miles from the mainland allows them to think they are also 2,000 miles away from the Constitution.

Is reversal of Statehood possible?

If that gang of damnyankee pineapple planters hadn’t stolen Hawaii from its lawful Queen, we wouldn’t have this problem, nor Barak Hussein Obama, neither!

I do not recognize the Sandwich Islands as a State of the Union, and I think they’d rather be cut loose, too.

California hasn’t had a drive-by with a .50 caliber rifle since they instituted the ban, so your NRA-funded hitpiece on Hawaii’s ban will not stand!

Although law enforcement officials argue that .50-caliber rifles and ammunition have virtually no place in Hawaii, gun owners maintain they have a constitutional right to the weapon.

Law enforcement officials should learn to speak for themselves. Apart from its reputation as a precision target rifle, the .50 BMG is known for overpenetrating structures and “neutralizing” enemy combatants at ranges that preclude positive identification. It’s entirely unclear what role it has in civilian law enforcement. (Liability attorneys, take note.)

Given that the maximum documented range for a police “sniper” engagement was some 187 yards, one imagines that Barretts are mostly “display bling” for recruitment or a range toy for bored officers. Hawaiian taxpayers should demand that .50 BMGs are banned for police use, seized and sold to private bidders and the proceeds refunded to them.

Funny, I never get any spam saying “Buy a .50, it’ll make your “junk” bigger.”

According to one of the commenters it will do just that. Seems like a great marketing idea for Barrett!

I think they’re a lot more likely to make your grin bigger. “If you experience facial deformation that lasts longer than four hours, please contact your local range master.”
