My wife is a teacher and invaribly school administrators fear litigation more than anything. Kids can be caught having sex, drinking, and doing drugs on campus during school hours or during functions and as soon as the parents trot in their lawyer the administrators will fold everytime. Student handbooks are for kids that don’t have lawyers. One kid even set fire to the school to hide his MJ smoke and all he got was a very short probation (not suspension) so he could keep playing sports. Intimidation only works as long as you are intimidated and go along like sheep.

When I was in school (central PA) Guns & Ammo was the second most read magazine in the school library (right after the SI Swimsuit edition).

My daughter took a photo of herself firing a tommy gun to her 8th grade class. I received the call around 10am, asking me to come and pick her up. She had asked if she could take the photo, and I did some research before I allowed her to do so. Nowhere in the school policy book does it say that photos of firearms are banned, and her history book contain dozens of images of firearms. I refused, and told him that if my daughter wasn’t returned to class without punishment, and her property returned to her, he would be hearing from my lawyer. I never heard another word about it.

I have a zero tolerance policy for stupidity.

What I find almost as scary as the idiot Vice Principal are all of the morons on that arfcom thread who think the LEO father should have either shown up in uniform (maybe accompanied by some fellow officers in uniform) to intimidate the VP, or that he and his fellow officers should abuse their authority by targeting the VP for citations.

Don’t these idiots realize that if it’s okay for law enforcement to abuse the people they don’t like, it’s a short ride to them abusing the folks they do like?

Hypocrites of the highest order. Bullies. Self-righteous numbskulls.
