Paul has beat Fred twice now, and 91u1ani 2x too. I think think the arguments against his electability are out the window now.

Fred needs to win South Carolina, and then I think he can pick up some momentum. I’ll get behind McCain if Fred doesn’t pull it out, because I think Huckabee or Romney would be that much of a disaster. I’d consider McCain a minor disaster. Less minor if he picks Fred as his running mate, considering McCain is already 72, and I can’t imagine spending years in the Hanoi Hilton is good for longevity. Come to think of it, the White House probably isn’t much better. McCain’s VP pick is going to be important.

However, he is my choice.

I recommend you look at Paul.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that Uncle might have already heard of Paul. He tends to keep on top of those little political issues like national elections.

Everyone keeps saying Fred! Thompson is done for.

People say a lot of stupid things.

No chance. Throwing in with Paul is a good way to get Hillary vs. Romney in November.

Paul’s position is stronger on national defense than anyone else: he advocated for a fence on the southern border backed by the military. Don’t make the mistake of equating the iraq war with homeland defense – pick the true conservative running for president.

If he’s done, why the all-out-push against him?

Because Republicans understand that when your opponent is drowning, you throw him an anchor.

Notice how they couldn’t stop referring to Obama as a “rising star” over and over and over again during his senate run. That sure started to grate.
