In this case it’s a good thing that they’re piss poor shooters or innocent people would be dead or injured. No less dead or injured than if some punks had done a home invasion and just as senselessly.

Professionals MPD damn sure aint. In a situation like this professionals would admit that they fucked up, make amends if possible, and most of all, take steps to make sure it didnt happen again. However, the CYA that’s been going on since this incident shows that MPD is NOT run, or staffed, by professionals.

It’s obvious that the MPD did no surveilence on the site, or any kind of “homework”, before putting on their ninja duds and barreling in no matter what they say.

Until officers and supervisors involved in these incidents pay a PERSONAL penalty for these kind of gross mistakes, they will continue.

If they were going to fix the situation, or police themselves…it would have happened by now.

The family is lucky that they weren’t killed or wounded. Somehow, it would have been their own fault.

And now we get to see once more the substitution of process for leadership. Wherein the MPD will vow an investigation to see if they violated any policy, completely ignoring the stunning lack of boots-on-the-ground-observation that the little Hmong kids weren’t black.

Chicago can taser some dazed 82yo lady and all they can do is vow the same. Nevermind the idiocy of tasering somebody who can’t respond to the police in just the way they want.

Or how about that guy naked in his bathroom when the SWAT team did a dynamic entry. They guy wasn’t wearing his hearing aid. He was trying to tell them that he couldn’t hear them. The SWAT team tased him too.

MPD has been suspect in many years of strange calculations in their budget, perhaps in ‘08 they could get at least one Tom Tom??

Rumor — and it’s just rumor — has it that they stopped shooting when they started tripping over little Hmong kids and somebody started wondering out loud what the Vice Lords were doing with a bunch of little Hmong kids wandering around.

Meanwhile, the highly-trained professionals were shooting up the place.
