"I believe in keeping guns out of our inner cities..."

So, Mr. O, when you go to the inner city, you and your body guards are totally unarmed, then, and when you go uptown you feel it is again acceptable to have your guards armed? Hey, that’s smart.

How about keeping the criminals out of “our” inner cities? Oh, maybe I get it: You think that if you make something illegal the criminals, in a show of respect for the law, will be the first to stop doing it. That worked so well during alcohol Prohibition, and it's working ever so well with the War on Drugs, so you think to yourself, "Yeah, we need more of that."

And that so-called "Constitution" (if that’s its real name) thingy, that the gun nuts are always yammering on about? Who cares? It only gets in the way of doing what’s right, doesn’t it?
[/sarcasm]

And just so we're all on the same page, here is the Congressional Oath of Office:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

Not that violating it comes with any penalty.
