Blocked from my work as well, reason given as:

“Your organization’s Internet use policy restricts access to this web page at this time.

Reason:
The Websense category “Message Boards and Forums” is filtered.”

It’s obviously not very effective as 75% of the blogs I read are not blocked. I believe it has to do with how you name your blog; keywords like “blog”, “forum”, “message boards”, etc. are “hits” and result in blockage.

MichaelG, are there some clues you can give me about the blocking of my blog? Does it give a reason such as “Adult Content”, “Violence”, etc.? And is this some service your company subscribes to that I can content and perhaps get the restriction lifted?

I visualize a “gunextremist” as someone who shows up to the range with a NAA mini in .22 Short and a Phelps revolver in .45-70.
