There was a big freeze earlier this year in Southern California, wiping out a lot of the citrus, avocado, and pomegranate crop. The dip in supply coupled, with rising fuel costs (driving up shiping costs) has resulted in a pretty big price increse for these crops. Thankfully, my family's pomegranate crop made it through the frost unscathed. Unfortunately, our avocados didn't fare as well.
