Pyramid Air currently has the standard Whisper on for $224.00 with free shipping. They say the suppresor decreases noise by 52%

I'm sure they're getting lowered signatures with heavy pellets. It's still supersonic with light weight ones.

emdfl, not really. Currently, if it permanently attached or removal from an airgun would render it inoperable, it's OK. That could change, of course.

Good luck on staying out of jail if you buy one of these without the $200 tax stamp.
Unless someone in the batfage agency has decided to "re-interpret" regulations again, the "anything that reduces muzzle noise by three Db is a suppressor rule" is still in effect. That one came about when somebody started suppressing paintball guns.

Gamo is smart to offer it only in .177. If it were offered in .22, someone would soon cut off the can, attach it to a .22 rifle or pistol and make a big deal out of it. Then the shit would hit the fan. Also, I suppose that the can could be drilled out to be used with a .22. I have a feeling that there are going to be problems with this. Jack.

Oh, it's not that badly priced. I've been thinking of getting something to compliment my RWS45. Too bad it's only offered in .177 but not .22 or .25. I've seen plenty that were upwards of four times that price for a precision spring air rifle.

I have reservations on the longevity of the scope, however.
