The price on the First Edition she handled was $599. Includes the nice case and 3 mags of 6,7,and 8 round capacity.

Thanks for the link to the review. It made her salivate all the more and she's pushing to get it early now.

Gosh, let's all get out those drool bibs.

Except, not here. I own a Pre-war Walther PP, which is the best-made pistol in my safe. I also own a Kel-Tec P-11, which is a millimeter NARROWER (THINNER) than this "ultra-thin" weapon, and at 14 oz, is 8 ounces lighter, AND it's maggy holds 10 rds.

I bought it used for $195, and new ones are maybe $250-300, so for the MSRP of $668 for the German Smith, you can have TWO (and maybe THREE) P-11s.

Oh, I forgot to mention. My P-11 does as well in the accuracy dept as the wunderpistole, and I can ring the duck on the metal silhouette range almost every time with it (25 yard target).

Der Walther is a good-looking gun, but here in the US of A, we also do decent pistols, and Kel-Tec-CNC does them well for a lot less money.

BTW, Kel-Tec also makes the PF-9, which is even thinner than the P-11 at .88 inches. It has a single-stack maggy and I believe it's CA legal (if it isn't, I suggest a visit to first a rope parlor and then the State Capitol).

Like, I'm there dude. How much does it cost? I just sold my EMP (wah!) and I'll be in the market for a compact gun in the future. The $1100 for a new EMP is kinda out there, although I do like the 1911 platform.

Blast. Here I got fixated on eventually purchasing a .45 caliber Springfield XD as my carry weapon, and this kind of stuff comes along...

Argh. If there is one thing to be said about being a gun nut, there are way too damned many choices.

The Wife got to paw one of these a couple of weeks ago. As it was new and the shop didn't have a demo available (bummer), she didn't get to shoot it yet, but she's decided she MUST have one.

Her birthday is coming up and she's put it at the top of her gift list. Her choice, not mine. I know better than to pick out pistols for her. She's on a single-stack kick lately. It'll make a nice counterpoint to her Springer Micro Compact in .45, and she'll probably carry the Walther a lot more than the Springer.

So, a real gun version of the p22.

Not bad, particularly for those with dinky hands.

I am seriously STOKED about this gun. Smith & Wesson has been pretty good about getting their guns on the {spit} Approved Firearms Roster, so there's a fair-to-middlin' chance I might be able to buy this gun.

It would be nice to have a thin, (relatively) light 9mm option available new.

I just hope it carries the S&W warrantee and not the anemic Walther one...
