Someone should point the Brady Bunch at 10 USC 311. The people are the militia, for the most part. (It'll be hilarious watching them argue for the disarmament of everyone over 45, though.)

The “essential to the security of the free condition” is a subordinate clause. I was taught in seventh grade that they don’t change the meaning of the primary clause.

If the Second Amendment only means an individual right, and not some sort of trumped up “collective right” designed only to destroy its meaning, then which government agencies are going to have to give up their guns?

It’s too bad that the founding fathers did’nt add �Armed Populace� over �Well Regulated Militia� when they wrote the bill of rights. There’d be no misinterpreting that.
