A reminder

In light of recent outbreaks of nanny knows best in Tennessee, I’ll remind my fellow volunteers that Article 1, Sec. 1 of the state constitution says:

That all power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their peace, safety, and happiness; for the advancement of those ends they have at all times, an unalienable and indefeasible right to alter, reform, or abolish the government in such manner as they may think proper.

As you were.

Update: Via AC, a bigger list of laws going into effect is here.

Who voted for the “Big Brother watches your beer consumption” act?

    Tim Burchett? Jamie Woodson?

Why do they have to record your DL number? How is the purchase of a legal item in the grocery an excuse for the grocery store to record my DL number?

Well, you know, the Texas Bill of Rights has a section that says, “All free men, when they form a social compact, have equal rights, and no man, or set of men, is entitled to exclusive separate public emoluments, or privileges, but in consideration of public services.” Yet the state operates a massive welfare apparatus that hands out emoluments to criminals and parasites. Anyone who has ever reat the 10th amendment knows that Social Security, Medicare, and most federal income transfer programs are unconstitional. Both federal and state legislators ignore any part of their constitutions that limit their power, and the sheeple let them.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
