Suicide mission

What say a bunch of us gun bloggers and readers pool our money and open a gun shop in Washington, DC? To open in August.

Pool my money? You’re talking to the guy who’s trying to find a way to buy a $250 pistol and is looking into selling a kidney to do so.

However, I would gladly buy said pistol from your store!

I’d love to get in on a DC gun shop (assuming I could carry on premises). Alas, as a non-citizen, I am not yet eligible to hold any type of FFL nor am I permitted to work for an FFL (citizenship is required). If that wasn’t the case, I’d already be working part-time for a VA gun dealer and I wouldn’t be bringing home a dime. 😉

I don’t think it’ll go down that way. I expect DC to change their law from prohibition to near-prohibition, and force us back into the courts with a weaker case.

Don’t fool yourselves: DC will never willingly grant a business license for a gun shop – there WILL need to be another court case.

But in the meantime, the bastards have no legal basis for preventing law abiding citizens from getting a C&R license! Freedom minded individuals will put their application in the next day.

But then again, if a local DC or MD shop wants to open a new store in DC, and they need a local partner, all they have to do is ask…

Have already been talking to some of my real estate development friends about this. Of course, as pro gun as they are, none would even consider allowing me to open a shop in their building. 2nd Amendment supporters, sure. But they are capitalists first, and a gun shop in DC will drive (at least initially) real estate prices down as all the libs try to ceremoniously run the other way. Still, a nice flag ship store might work downtown. Get a big space – with big racks and lots of cool in store demo things, and turn it into a big 2nd Amendment celebration of freedom – make it a must tourist destination and its sure to succeed.

    That said, Sebastian is right.

  6. Lyle Says:

Countertop: If prices go down at all, BUY!. Once the citizens can be armed, the crime rate drops, and DC real estate will be more valuable than ever– most especially if some of the Lefties move out.

[…] appeal, Sebastian wants to know what options residents really have for getting guns. I said before that: What say a bunch of us gun bloggers and readers pool our money and open a gun shop in Washington, […]

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
