His Rudiness set the stage for the predatory anti-gun practices of Bloomberg (spit!).

The problem with these “less-than-committed to the 2A” types is that their opposition to gun control is always negotiable. Once in office, if they think that they need to demonstrate their bi-partisanship, you can bet signing off on a gun-grab or ban will be up near the top of the list for them.

Don’t try to read gun-reasonableness into Rudy’s blather, or anyone else’s. Take them at their word, their first word, or the word that they had when they were last in office.

Or, ask them to promise, on pain of being the worst sort of political liar, never to sign ANY anti-gun law.

They are all snakes.

Countertop is correct. On other occasions Guiliani has said he agrees with the Parker decision, which he wouldn’t if he thought the DC ordinance was reasonable.

The only reasonable gun control permitted by the Second Amendment (and don’t give me any of this incorporation under the 14th crap-ola) is legislation governing one’s actions with firearms not legislation governing possession.

Rudy Giuliani is an opportunist. Plain and simple. And I don’t trust opportunists when it comes to gun rights, because they’ll always quail.

I think your reading that wrong. It sounds like he is saying he agrees with the DC Circuit, which set a reasonable standard for gun control to meet. NOt that DC had met it, but what the court said
