Imagine if the Left had gotten some big new socialist program, and a couple years later there was a 15% reduction in poverty (impossible I know, but stick with me). You'd never hear the end of it. They'd be partying in the streets, and sticking it in our faces, for decades over something like that. Well if we can get a 15% reduction in cop killings after an expiration of an "assault weapon" restriction, maybe we can get another 25% reduction if we get NFA '34 and GCA '68 repealed. Heck, why not just reinstate the Bill of Rights altogether? Hey, if it saves only one life..... That’s an almost 15% reduction.
