In Sebastian’s libertarian fantasy land, and Act of Congress that allowed a member of the executive branch to unilaterally create crimes would be an unconstitutional assignment of powers from one branch to another, and would get struck down for being overly broad.

But sadly, we don’t live in Sebastian’s libertarian fantasy land.

We picked Cleveland Pears, like bradfords but a bit more hardy. Despite the conversation at knoxviews.com, I was overruled and, honestly, i pick my battles. We got 5 of those. About 32 Azaleas, quite a few privets (to cover up gas tanks, AC, etc.), and yews.

Today, the mrs. is picking up some junipers, a japanese cherry, and some other stuff that I cannot remember. I’m not a plant/tree person so I don’t know.

And about 1,200 pounds of large, flat river rock.

I had the reverse of your weekend. Cutting and pruning the 300,000 plants and trees planted years ago. I hope you chose more wisely than I did. Ironically I asked the experts what the lowest maintenance trees and shrubs were. Like they knew.

For once, thank god I live in New England. I’ve got another month or so before I have to put up with that pollen crap.
