Maybe we can claim that anti-gunners cause crime via their propaganda. Criminals see the propaganda and, being none too intelligent, believe it. Thus, they steal the types of weapons that the Bradies demonize.

On some internet forum, someone claimed a Barret .50 could be used to shoot the pilot while on takeoff. (This was after explaining that it would be quite difficult to shoot down a plane in midair.)

Christ, if a terrorist wanted to hit a plane while it’s on the ground, he might as well get a mortar. I hear the IRA used to run around with a few. (Better yet, bypass the plane and just hit the concourse.)

The horra, the horra!!!

Sorry, but the .50cal shooting down an airliner thing never ceases to get a chuckle outta me. I know it’s an issue we have to take seriously (protecting the .50cal is actually a good line to draw in the sand with the Brady idiots), but it’s hard because the image of some jihadi staking out BWI or LAX or IAD or ATL’s approach with a bulky 5 foot long rifle hoping for a miracle shot is just too…hairbrained.

It is rather fun to think of a terrorist trying to shoot down airplanes with a 27 pound, 4 or 5 foot long, bolt-action rifle. Swing that barrel through the air, have to lead by a lot, “Clunk”. “Abdul, how many times do I have to tell you to keep your head out of the way!”
