It was never my intent to file this legislation. It originated in the Senate and was brought to me by a Senator to see if I would consider filing it. While reviewing a number of bills that I had been asked to review, this particular bill was inadvertently placed among those that I had agreed to and intended to file.
So, you willy-nilly introduce bills by mistake, likely without reading them? I’m glad the process of passing laws that affect us all is such a finely tuned, efficient process with adequate controls.

He’s not just an asshole, looks like he’s a liar too. Unless you buy the idea that a LAWYER would “mistakenly” affix his signature to a document.
So I guess there are two possibilities: Either he’s a liar or a blatant moron. Either way, what the heck is he doing representing Nashville. Are they THAT hard up for representatives? Surely there’s a Janitor or Sanitation worker somewhere in the city that would be willing to take the job.
I apologize if any Janitors or Sanitation workers consider that last statement to be defamatory.

Given that the bill is unconstitutional on its face and these men have sworn an oath to uphold the constitution, haven’t they violated their oath by introducing it?

Remember when Tim Burchett sponsored a bill that said you would have to have a college degree to be a County
ExecutiveMayor and then said he did that so no one else could sponsor the same legislation? So he could control it?Maybe Jamie and Rob took a page from that playbook? Or maybe they just got caught? Makes you also wonder about Tim.
