Yep, her ferocious Irish mother whacked snakes on the head and killed 'em DRT with a golf tool. Her Dad ran the Central Mental Hospital in Malaya, and was Governor of a small island in the British West Indies at one point. Thank God they got out of Malaya before the Nips arrived.
