High voter turnout generally benefitted Democrats in the days before well-organized GOTV operations. Now it benefits whoever has the best GOTV operation.

Dems think that high turnout is good for them . . . maybe it was 50 years ago, but as the face of the local Democrat precinct captain told me this morning, high turnout doesn’t bode well for them . . . even in so called liberal northern virginia.
