Of course that was self-loaded match ammo. If it's a common caliber you might buy it there or order some and have it shipped it to the hotel (check with them first). I flew to Alaska back in July with two pistols and there was no hassle whatsoever. It made me wish I had brought my AR, too. Don't know who you're flying, but Delta allows up to 2 rifles in one case without having to pay extra. And 11lbs of ammo. I don't think the extra mags and accessories should be a problem either.
