Isn't the specific gun they are talking about the Kimber Warrior?

http://www.kimberamerica.com/press/warrior.php

I have a Warrior, and good Lord I think it's great. I have a Beretta 96D, but I don't like the long trigger pull of DAOs (pistol shoots just fine though). Plus, I just like .45 ACP.

I think this about settles it for me: "The time needed to fire off a second round to incapacitate the enemy can mean life or death."

I believe in the double tap, but would rather have the second shot to be "insurance" instead of necessary.

Heh, same here, about the trading, but I liked my 96 Brigadier. I wish I hadn't sold it. Where shooting the 1911 is kinda like driving a muscle car, the Beretta feels more like a big luxury cruiser.

I love my 92FS. It feels like a proper handful (I have never held a 1911 that felt right in my hand), and I'm confident in the 147-grain Hydra Shoks.

Debating the superiority of the 1911 vs. the Glock makes for interesting discussion, while debating the 1911 vs. the Beretta M9 would be brief.

I bought a Beretta 96 and a 92 Elite, and couldn't stand either one of them.

I traded them for 1911s.
