And WATE broadcasts weekly features promoting animals available for adoption at the Young-Williams Animal Shelter. Of Course, that isn’t at all suspicious.

also notice that WATE has a long history of "stories" about Mike Shipwash (the attorney in this case) clients. Of Course, that isn't at all suspicious.

I just feel sorry for the animal rescue group that they will have to hire an attorney to defend themselves in this case. Most rescue operations run on a threadbare budget as it is, and never with the intenion of "getting rich."

Anyone who leaves their dog chained to a "dog run" or other restrictive imprisonment doesn't love the animal and shouldn't have a pet in the first place. I live in a neighborhood FULL of ignorant rednecks who give their children a puppy, only to "chain it up" in perpetude when "the darn animal just won't stop pooping in the house" and the kids don't even pay attention to the poor thing.

A dog run, or any other chained restraint is NEVER to be used as a permanent restraint for ANY animal. Certainly, it is not to meant for the animal to be chained and then left outside. People that do that should be chained in their yard for 8 hours at a time to see how they like it. It makes the animal crazy and forces it to live and walk in it's own feces. It makes the animal mean and aggressive.

These people just want an easy pay day. If they cared about the dog, they never would have chained it in the first place and they CERTAINLY would have checked with the pound.

If I lost my dog, I'd want it back. I might even want the rescue folks investigated. But money?
