Comments on: Videotaping police should never be illegal

I live in the next town east, and was frankly baffled by this. By the Nashua Police’s contention, every bank or other company that has closed curcuit systems are in violation of the law.

I’m seriously hoping they have this jammed up their backsides.

The law was supposed to be about privacy protections, but for some reason the police have turned this inside out. I’ve tried wading through the legalese, and I’m still baffled as to how and closed curcuit system for security doesn’t violate this law. It’s not in any of the exceptions.

IF you think the police are really harrassing you, a trip with your video tape to the Commonwealth Attorney’s office, or even your own attorney would be the logical move.

The article also states that it was posted that the property was watched by security cameras. IMO, that means that the cops, by coming onto the property, gave their implicit permission to being taped.

What’s wrong? If you’re not doing anything wrong, why should it bother you? (That’s what they tell US anyway…)
