As a proud resident of Kansas I am now considering my many options. I like the idea of a front vest/jacket pocket carry cause I want to keep my hands in my pockets for a faster draw, for example. But what really bothers me is an etiquette question. I believe firmly in the rights of fellow property owners to forbid that I carry on their property. With open carry - which is not really a reasonable option in the suburbs of Kansas City - your friend who has invited you over for dinner can say "Whoa, pardner! Let's check those guns at the door." I can respect that choice, because I believe in property rights and the right of people to make mistakes. But how does it work with a concealed weapon?

I suspect that it was etiquette that made our forefathers so hostile to concealed carry.

Wince

Unc,

DE has a bill pending to change its status to "Shall Issue". From peeps in the area, it stands a reasonable chance of passing. Strike while the iron is hot and all that...

We can only hope...

They never give up on that one, do they? Even though it's a well-proven falsehood.

Just like the "blood in the streets!" mantra.

Um, no we’ve lost. Our RIGHT to own arms has been converted to a PRIVILEDGE. That’s not freedom.

But it's a decent step in the right direction.

Quoth the Governor: “Now I'm hopeful the Legislature turns its attention to its most important work, which is making sure all Kansas children attend quality schools".

Translation: "Please don't make an issue of this in the next election".
