As a proud resident of Kansas I am now considering my many options. I like the idea of a front vest/jacket pocket carry cause I want to keep my hands in my pockets for a faster draw, for example. But what really bothers me is an etiquette question. I believe firmly in the rights of fellow property owners to forbid that I carry on their property. With open carry – which is not really a reasonable option in the suburbs of Kansas City – your friend who has invited you over for dinner can say “Whoa, pardner! Let’s check those guns at the door.” I can respect that choice, because I believe in property rights and the right of people to make mistakes. But how does it work with a concealed weapon?

I suspect that it was etiquette that made our forefathers so hostile to concealed carry.

Um, no we�ve lost. Our RIGHT to own arms has been converted to a PRIVILEDGE. That�s not freedom.

But it’s a decent step in the right direction.
