Terror attack preparedness quiz

Take it here. The emergency supplies listed do not mention guns. Coincidentally, the ready.gov site still shows no search results for gun.

13 of the first 15 correct. I missed the one about the first thing to do in a chemical attack, and the high/low radiological attack thing.

As far as a gun, about the only thing it would be useful for, I suppose, is protecting you from the other victims of the attack.

    Ayup.

    Heh.

    16. Have you prepared a family communications plan that includes a meeting place away from your home, work and school, a family contact person outside of your area, a list of phone numbers for each family member?
    No is not correct.

Um. I guess I disagree. I haven’t, so in fact No is the answer based on reality.

I got the anwers on Chemical/Bio attacks for the High/Low answer, but that is a fairly poor question. The more accurate answer is “it depends.” Basements and the like have far fewer openings to seal, and thus are easier to secure against such agents. High usually means places with lots of windows. So if you’re in a new super insulated house, High is probably a good idea. If in an old building low is better. Seeing that I live in a pre-Victorian farm house. Low is my only choice. (The wind blows through the walls, never mind the windows.)

I still think being able to think on your feet would be much more effective then taking simplistic rules from a generalized terrorist reaction list.

Heh.. Are people really stupid enough to drink water from their car radiator?

Sure. It’s that new Kool-Aid flavor – Oily Green.

14 correct out of the first 15.

How about question # 10. “You may be instructed to shelter-in-place during a chemical attack even if you are in the area of the chemical release” must be one of the “correct” choices. Is there something I don’t know, or did they just admit that the government is so F-U-d that they might tell you stay in a nerve-gassed home?

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
