[...] Update: There is some disagreement over spelling résumé. I blame the French. It’s also a problem for web browsers and email readers, as I noted here. [...]

Exactly what is it that you want to resume? Working? Why would you want to do that?

And if you want to resume doing it so badly, why did you stop in the first place?

Sorry. I couldn't help myself.

Well whatever this 'paper' allegedly is...it should not be blue, yellow, or hot pink.

Also if you have a perverted email address (backdoorlover or sweettime69) it would be a good idea not to use it on your resume.

Yes, we have those two exact prefixes here within the last six months...applying for two separate positions of considerable responsibility.

I work in HR. Typically that stuff really doesn't matter...it's like concentrating on the minutia and if anything reeks of a micromanager mindset.

The color of your paper on the other hand...

The choice is between being fancy or being readable.

If you are sending out a resume, which is more valueable to you?

I learned to not use accented characters on the Internet during the Usenet era. (I know - Usenet isn't technically the Internet.) Too much potential for garbage characters.
