Once, a looong time back, McC wasn't a bad journalist, with a non-network channel in NY (either channel 9 or 11). I'm 63 and we had the 2nd TV on the block, so I remember. Then something happened, and he became just a grumpy, tired old man. Now he's become an angry, senile old man. He should have retired long ago - he's like the fighter who tries for one more comeback.

I disagree.

Although Cheney has admitted fault, I am not sure that he is truly at fault - as opposed to following the advice of his spin-masters. In that regard, the "victim" has also apologized to Cheney and his family.

My theory is that his friend stayed back to relieve himself without telling the hunting party what he was doing. When the birds flew, from a seemingly clear area, Cheney shouldered his shotgun, took aim and shot.

In any event, I would rather go shooting or hunting with Cheney over John Kerry any day of the week.

The MSM continues to diminish its remaining credibility each time it hyperventilates over minutia like this.

I also found it audacious that the MSM shrieked in exasperation when Cheney gave his interview to Britt Hume. I wish Cheney would have his spokesman issue a release that he gave the interview to Fox to ensure that it would reach the largest viewing audience.

I noticed (only by seeing it on Drudge) that CNN's John McCaffrey (sp?) observed that Humes' interviewing Cheney was like Bonnie interviewing Clyde. It's a good thing that, given CNN's viewership and ratings, not many people heard his remarks.

BTW, who is John McCaffrey? I thought he got canned, but maybe that was Aaron Brown. Or maybe it was Phil Donohue - no, he was with MSNBC. Hell, I don't know. Does anyone really watch those channels anymore? I would rather sit through 5 hours of Greta in Aruba every night over watching Chris Matthews or Keith Olberman one night a week.
