The last time someone floated this, our most rabid city council member said, "you put up CCW [at the State], I'll put up a total handgun ban [for the City & County of Honolulu, where over half the people in the state live]. You won't the votes to pass CCW, but I will for the ban." The measure was quickly withdrawn. Not going to happen here.
