They will undoubtedly be able to whittle away at it, but both the Liberals and the NDP are anti-gun, and the BQ surely recognizes that Quebec has significant support for the registry (60% supported keeping it to 40% some odd for scrapping it). If the BQ hedges then the Tories won't have enough support to stomp the registry into non-existence. We may have to wait for a conservative majority before the registry gets its long overdue reward. This is from an editorial that's supposedly anti-registry. I'm not optimistic.
