I use this IOR Valdada on my 9mm AR. I've got crappy eyesight, and the 3x magnification helps a great deal. It's just about right for a 15-20 yard range without the best lighting in the world.

If I understand correctly, you are doing this 9mm project so you can shoot an AR-15 at a range indoors.

So you start off getting a block to drop in your mag well, a new or modified hammer, and a dedicated 9mm upper.

Pretty soon you are having all kinds of fun, and you spring for a dedicated 9mm receiver, so you don't have to keep jumping back and forth.

My question is this, if you just wanna shoot the dang thing indoors, why not get a .22LR kit? Not a big enough bang? As an added bonus, you could also take your AR squirrel hunting.
