When are you planning on buying? I am heading out with my one buddy tonight for a few brews and as he has about 10-15 cans (including some older Gemtechs) I can see if he's heard anything on them. Other than that, we have a Class III shoot coming up in February (18th I think) and I can ask around. We have at least three or four rather large manufacturer/dealer participants and about a half-dozen or so smaller dealers that I can ask...in fact it's an invite only shoot for the most part and just about everyone is a dealer, works in the firearms industry, is a LEO or as active/ex-military and we always do a suppressor demo after our mid-day ceasefire...somebody there HAS to have an opinion on these things!

The Gemtech Trinity (http://www.gem-tech.com/TRINITY.html) probably is a good bet for what you seem to be looking for as it should work well on a handgun or 9mm AR and should be usable for .22 also. My buddy uses a older, discontinued Gemtech model on an MP-5 and a .22 AR upper (both are full auto) and it is very quiet...haven't heard the Trinity series yet most Gemtech cans give you very little bang for the buck (if you get my meaning!)

If you want something that will be anywhere near usable on a handgun, forget about running .223 through it as the expansion chamber won't be anywhere near capable of containing the volume of gas. You may or may not blow the can or shorten it's life but you also will not get very much suppression either.

20oz. plastic soda bottle.
good for about 20 shots in .22
good for 3 in 9mm
Poke a few small holes in it before the first shot.
accurate at 5 yards.

I know that this does not fit the profile of multiple guns, but it does sound amazing. Though I do not know how much it costs, but i bet it is fairly expensive.
