Definitely thrilling, but it's got that famous Jacksonian bloat. He could have cut an hour out and had a better film IMNSHO. Then I might have paid to see it twice. Then again, it wouldn't be a Peter Jackson film if it didn't have that all-u-can-eat visual buffet quality. Andy Serkis digital acting once again outshines all of the human performers. Kong was the second scariest monster in the film. The first was Adrian Brody's nose. They should call him the "Sultan of Schnozz." Saw Kong last night. Definitely thrilling, but it’s got that famous Jacksonian bloat. He could have cut an hour out and had a better film IMNSHO. Then I might have paid to see it twice. Examples: * Master and Commander - *huge* promotional budget. Heck, I heard _radio_ ads for it. * Road to Purdition - I listened to the "critics" and my brothers & I went to see that over "Bourne Identity" because RtP was "powerful" and "moving" while BI was opinined as "Not Like the Book" and "Simplified".
