To clarify, this post wasn’t by me but by #9 (we have multiple bloggers here and under the title it says Posted by AUTHOR). I don’t have a dog in this particular fight other than my dissatisfaction at outing anonymous bloggers.

Look, I think that all the criticism of the Hitman post is fair, above-board and in many cases called for. I personally think she jumped the gun a bit by saying she was “investigating the story.” To my mind there isn’t a story until there is a story. With regard to the film, my understanding is that Michael Moore consulted on it and will be using portions of it in his film “Sicko”. I hate everything Michael Moore does, and Sharon knows that. We manage to be friends inspite of that, and in spite of her ships-that-pass relationship with Moore (whom I presume to be taking advantage of her, but that’s because I think he’s generally a self-centered user of people.)

But you did pick up and link her Lennon post, #9. That’s the post where she talks about being sexually abused, emotionally abused and abandoned. She talks about the very necessary connection she forged with the Beatles to overcome the nightmare of her abuse.

That’s where it crossed the line in this post as far as I was concerned. I could very well be wrong. It just struck me as extremely poor taste. That was the “kicking”.

You are entitled to your opinion but your premise is incorrect. There is a difference between observing and mocking. Up until the point Sharon decided to try and get someone fired from their job because they had a different opinion I read Sharon’s writing. I did not agree with her views but I considered them. I still read what Sharon writes, more as curiosity because she has lost any remaining credibility.

When a “journalist” tries to censor a private citizen and also cost them their job there should not be any surprise that people will carefully read what she has written. I don’t think Sharon’s writing is exposing her vulnerability as much as it is plain old self-importance. Can you find any blogger that uses the word “me” more often?

Sharon is a shameless self-promoter cut from the cloth of Michael Moore. After watching her TennCare video I saw Michael Moore’s name in the credits. I would be curious to know if that was a tribute or whether Michael Moore actually consulted on Sharon’s TennCare video. I felt her video was more work of fiction than a documentary. It was slanted, biased, and misleading. It had no context to the reality of what TennCare is, how it came to be, and what can be done to fix it.

Katherine, you wrote on your blog, “When people are sitting around in a bar and arguing over opinions that’s one thing, and that’s what we’ve got in blogland on a daily basis. But when someone is quite obviously crying and you kick them, that’s bullying. It doesn’t say much about the victim, but it says a whole lot about the jerk doing the kicking.”

You accuse me of kicking and bullying Sharon when she is crying? Let me tell you what I think kicking someone is, kicking someone is trying to get them fired from their job and slandering them while you censor them. Pot, kettle, I am sure you remember the story.

I was not aware that a seasoned journalist like Sharon was so sensitive. It just seemed to me to be an obsession and that the Hitman was her White Whale, kind of like Governor Bredesen is her White Whale. Like many people I am still waiting for the BIG story to break. I have asked Sharon several times why this is a BIG story but Sharon will not reply. If you have an opinion on why this is a BIG story I would like to hear it.

When it comes to censorship and trying to get people fired because they have a different opinion I remind people that this cannot be tolerated. That does not make me a “jerk”. I take freedom and personal rights seriously.

By the way, I think Michael Moore is a big time narcissist also. Does that mean I am mocking him?
