An eyewitness I saw on TV said it was an AK-47, and all of the local TV stations were reporting it as an “assault rifle”.

That’s my take from Washington State.

According to the cop I talked to at Tacoma PD, it was “Similar to (but not) an SKS-definitely not a .22.”
