If David Frum had started his anti-Miers movement back in July, when he first recognized that her nomination was a realistic possibility, she'd have never been nominated in the first place, for exactly the same reason Gonzales wasn't, either. I don't think Dumbya is dumb enough to think he can nominate Gonzales <i>now</i> without inviting the wrath of every Miers opponent, and many Miers fence-sitters as well (including me).
