Yes I'm still running and yes, I do write my own. I would think LJ would count as a blog...that's my opinion anyway. "Real" candidates don't have time to actually post what they think and feel that often, they're too busy spending money and studying polls...hahahaha.

Bo Heyward's may be the only other blog that is actually written by the candidate. (Is Bo still running?) (Does a livejournal page count as a blog?)

I'm glad each candidate has a blog representing them. I believe blogs have taken political discourse to a new level and are an invaluable resource for getting a message out to potential voters. We can all benefit from the free exchange of ideas.

However, of all the candidates in the U.S. Senate race, I believe moderforsenate.blogspot.com is THE ONLY blog actually written by the candidate.

I'm running for the U.S. Senate because, even though we have a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, we don't seem to have a conservative majority in either. That needs to change.

I'm not a professional politician. I'm a concerned citizen doing what I think is right for my family and Tennessee. I'm a conservative not because it's fashionable or to win elections. I'm conservative because it's what I believe.

I want to thank the blog community for providing a venue for candidates who face challenges of name recognition, fundraising and organization can share ideas with a well-informed and participatory audience.
