I believe blogs have taken political discourse to a new level and are an invaluable resource for getting a message out to potential voters. We can all benefit from the free exchange of ideas. However, of all the candidates in the U.S. Senate race, I believe moderforsenate.blogspot.com is THE ONLY blog actually written by the candidate. I'm running for the U.S. Senate because, even though we have a Republican majority in both houses of Congress, we don't seem to have a conservative majority in either. That needs to change. I'm not a professional politician. I'm a concerned citizen doing what I think is right for my family and Tennessee. I'm a conservative not because it's fashionable or to win elections. I'm conservative because it's what I believe.
