Whoa!

Yesterday, I filled up the tank. It cost $70.05. Seems like just yesterday it broke $50.

Wow. [Applying the global warming math formula to this..] If this increasing trend continues, it will soon be cheaper to just buy a new car already filled with gas than to fill up your old one.

  2. Xrlq Says:

$70.05?! What are you riding, a Gold Wing?

  3. SayUncle Says:

Me on a bike? No way. Last time I even tried to ride a bike, I gassed it too much, popped the front tire off the ground and hit my friend’s bike. Then had to pay to fix it. I gave up trying then.

I have a 22.5 gallon tank on the truckster, though.

  4. Xrlq Says:

In that case: you managed to fill up a non-motorcycle for only $70.05?! Wowee, what a deal!

I’m sure glad we went to war for oil…

…And I’m sure glad I gave up teaching and took a consulting job 2 1/2 months ago that has me driving 900 miles a week (of course the money x4 might have had something to do with it.)

There isn’t a fill up that goes by that I don’t miss the Jetta TDI that I ebayed last fall.

I went from 50mpg in my Jetta to 25mpg in my wife’s old GTI.

900 miles of highway driving in the Jetta would cost just under $52 at current (CT — $3.07 /gallon ) diesel cost.

    I really miss that car.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
