I eventually decided to use my nickname only as it was getting a little confusing, and some of my readers thought there were two of us posting on my blog. Of course the content on my blog is pretty tame, but if my employer takes issue with it then so be it. It's certainly true that there are very good reasons why someone might want to use one, and avoiding trouble at work is one of them. The blog may have caused a problem with that as it did with his funding for their software, "DidToday". He lost a financier because of NoR and had to get a job. I would think someone who gets online and says they would never use a gun for protection or that they would not own a politically incorrect dog would be at a greater risk from your average nut job then one makes it clear that are well armed and have a dog with big teeth. I do, however, understand the not wanting the online persona interfere with your job. I guess I have just been lucky to live and work in an area where my views are not all that extreme and in some cases are just right of the main stream.
