Shoot it down
NewsTalk99‘s David Foulk has a blog. On the recent incursion of an unauthorized plane in DC airspace, he writes:

I think if it was a larger plane it would have been shot down.
Since the plane was so small, it would be able to cause very little damage, unless of course it was filled with C4.

If that plane was loaded with a chemical munition the damage could be severe.

I think it is overreaction. There is nothing you can do with a Cesna that you couldn’t do better with a Ryder truck.
