This is basically a sneak and peak method, currently supported under the Patriot Act. I find this appalling, and yet it will continue to happen. I was reading an article about a gentlemen charged with drug possession and if I recall correctly trafficking. He sued the city because the arresting officers knowing he had been arrested before shaved a bald spot in the back of his head (BALD) and sent it in for testing. The results came back clean, 3 months drug free and the individual sued the city. This went all the way and the end result by law now states that without suspicion an officer can approach you on the street and shave a bald spot on your head without probable cause and there is not a damn thing you can do about it.
