Sure is.

You know, I was trying to figure out the current, U.S.-made equivalent of an SKS and decided it was the Ruger Mini-30 (which is the Mini-14 chambered in 7.62x39 mm). Wood stock, semi-auto, OK sights. Considering the Mini-30 sells for about $500, the SKS at $125 is an unbelievable steal.

Yep, liked the cheap guns one. I'm mighty thrifty myself, but at least I know not to try to cut corners on firearms.

Although it is possible to get a nice rifle for about $125, eh?

The article about cheap guns was good, though I'm guessing he had more vignettes he left out.

John Farnam does quite a bit of training, and he and his readers have had some amazing stories about cheap (and not so cheap) guns and accessories. He's had a number of stories about problems caused by recoil buffers.
