I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that this was probably a case of attempted suicide by cop. One does not empty a weapon in a crowded mall and only hit two people in the leg. He made no effort to reload and basically allowed those two to tackle him. Of course, if he really wanted to die, he should have tried that shit in Texas or Utah. Just my 2 cents.

Well it’s entirely possible that some good has come out of the MSM coverage of the “assault weapons” ban. Obviously this thug believed that “spray firing form the hip” was an effective way to hit a target. Course that’s just idle specualtion on my part, but it would fit in nicely as a rebuttal to that particualr argument, “even when would be killers used your (the anti-gun lobby’s) advice to exploit those deadly features it didn’t work…maybe they’re not such deadly features after all?”

Still it’s a cryin shame that two employees of a sporting goods store couldn’t have grabbed a shotgun or two instead of tackling the guy unarmed.
