I guess I grew up in the transition between freedom and felony. 10 years ago (4th grade) I would draw these massive ground/air battles and used the Nazis as my enemy. Despite a clear depiction as evil the swastika got me in trouble a few times. Nobody asked me what I was doing or why; it was an instant call to my parents and confiscation of my drawing. I can’t imagine being charged with a crime for simply drawing.

Insanity. I can undestand the school officials practicing “no tolerance,” a.k.a. “CYA,” and kicking them out. I don’t necessarily agree with it, but I can understand it.

Charging them with a felony, on the other hand, seems a little absurd.
