It looks to me to be pretty easy to fix it to take AK mags (which you can get for $5 each) by using a drill, tap and some pipe. See page 8 of that guide. I'm definitely going to get one it's just a matter of do i want the 7.62X39 to take AKs or do I want to get the 308 and buy the expensive mags. AK mags = cheap but 308 is 308! Guy likes his smoothbores. I tried them again at the last show, and the sights were pretty decent, much better than on a surplus AR. So, what you have is a completely arbitrary and reasonably stupid law that serves no purpose other than making us buy American.

Hmmm, nothing really wrong with that, is there?? Of course, if your one of those countries that might make those imported parts, this would be a pretty substantial barrier to market entry, dontchyathink???? Wonder what the WTO would think about it . . . .
