Score! on the clip vs magazine thing. One of my favorite peeves. Sadly, yes, I do know lots of people familiar with guns that call magazines clips. We're simply losing the war with that one. No one cares but us cranks.

And flash suppressors serve a dual-role. One, yes - to make it harder to find you in the dark, but more importantly, to reduce the flash and the effect is has on *your* ability to *see* in the dark...

Hmmm...are flash suppressors REALLY intended to keep people from finding you in the dark?

I'm still looking for an explanation of why democrats and newspapers keep referring to "clips." Whats up with that?

Finally, the ban barred all clips capable of holding more than 10 bullets. Larger clips -- also known as magazines -- allow gunmen to shoot more bullets before reloading, the reasoning went. So limiting clip sizes would slow criminals down and give potential victims time to escape.

Does this mean my a 6 round magazine for my 1911 isn't a magazine? Are my 10 round G23 magazines clips and only my 13 round standard size mags are really magazines?

How many people, who are familiar with guns, do you know who refer to magazines as clips?

Did this come from some Hollyweird movie or something? Is there a Brady study showing people are more fearful of clips than magazines??

What gives. Amongst all the chatter and innacuracies I hear in the media, I think this might be the thing that bugs me the most.
