I take it back

This is no longer possibly the most asinine thing I’ve seen in a while, this is:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Republican congressional candidate James L. Hart acknowledges that he is an “intellectual outlaw.”

He is an unapologetic supporter of eugenics, the phony science that resulted in thousands of sterilizations in an attempt to purify the white race. He believes the country will look “like one big Detroit” if it doesn’t eliminate welfare and immigration. He believes that if blacks were integrated centuries ago, the automobile never would have been invented.

Wow! Just wow. Just a note: eugenics may be morally bankrupt, evil, and leave a foul taste in your mouth, but it is not a phony science. It is, as the term’s creator Francis Galton says, a moral philosophy to improve humanity. That doesn’t make it any less crap but I doubt anyone would consider it a science. More:

Much of Hart’s platform revolves around eugenics, which arose in the early 20th century as a pseudoscientific movement to solve social problems by preventing the “unfit” from having children. It inspired 33 states to pass laws that allowed the sterilization of some 65,000 people, and Nazi Germany used the U.S. examples to justify programs that sterilized and killed millions.

Hart, a 60-year-old real estate agent, knows his views on eugenics are far from the mainstream and viewed as racist by most people.

He insists his beliefs have nothing to do with racism and everything to do with “favored races” from Europe and Asia and “less-favored races” from Africa. To achieve his goal of a country populated by “favored races,” Hart proposes eliminating both welfare and immigration.

What an idiot. I am almost speechless. But Hart isn’t. He has a website too.

It would be funnier if such a great mass of people didn’t hold that anyone believing in and advocating individual liberty is at heart an EEEVIL RACIST, on a level as equally despicable as they perceive James Hart to be. How else to explain all these modern relativists and statist apologists working in academia, who would rather let the Godwinesque nightmare figure of Hitler Himself speak at their school before allowing, say, a Thomas DiLorenzo to say his piece?

I too found irony that the atrios contigent of moonbats are as pathetic as Mr. Hart. So far left, they’re right again.

Every now and then, you run across that’s something that just gives you pause.

    Amazing. Sad, and amazing.

I actually got a flyer in the mail about this guy, and did some reading a week ago.

He makes a point in his website to say that favor should be determied by and individuals competance.

If he really should by that he would use the term favored individuals, not favored “races” which makes him should like a racist.

While some of the stuff he says may be true, hart does not pick the best ways of saying things. If i have a chance of voting on him; i will vote against him.

Just because of the immigration policies. True and fair competion are the only things that can determine who is more comepentant and protectist polices do not help true and fair competion.

Hart is an opportunist and a crank who uses campaign ad law (which doesn’t allow broadcasters, radio or television, to alter content or deny ads based on content) to get his message out. He knows he won’t win, but simply waits for the chances to spew his crap freely and without restraint.

In 2000, he ran ads on the local classic rock station that sent their phones ringing off the hook. The morning zoo crew had to get him in an on-air interview just to make it clear to listeners that he was a nut they didn’t support. The station dj’s later took to running rude noises under his ads just to mock them.

Hart runs as a Republican because their ballots are easy to get on locally. That’s all. But the local Republicans are idiots anyway, so they sort-of deserve this.

Remember, I do this to entertain me, not you.
